Cows and calves at Tomina Farm in late winter.

Correction

In a previous post (Jeremy’s Trip Part III) all of the photographs were identified as being cattle owned by Charlie and Martha Trantham.  That was incorrect.  The first and third photo were actually cattle at Tomina Farm located at Waynesboro, TN which was the next stop for Jeremy after leaving the Tranthams.  Remember that it was announced here a few weeks ago that Tom and Regina Tesnow of Tomina Farm were dispersing their entire herd of  registered Devons.  While at Tomina Farm Jeremy bought a couple of the Devons for himself and three head for a client in Wisconsin.  The two heifers in one of the mis-identified photos are part of the group headed to Wisconsin.  There are still some outstanding Devons left at Tomina Farm and you can contact Regina at 931-722-6621, tesnow@aol.com or go to their website at www.tominafarm.com for more information.  My apologies to Tom and Regina for the error with the photographs.

Part III Again

So that I don’t short change the fine cattle at Charlie and Martha Trantham’s farm the third photo in this post is of one their fine cows.  The Trantham herd will be well represented at the Fall Show and Sale at Anderson, SC on September 18 and 19.  Walker Century Farm, owned by Bill and Nancy Walker, is hosting the Fall Conference, Show and Sale.  And of course the judge will be Vic Edwards of Australia who is a highly respected judge known through out the Devon world.
