The Dates are Set

The dates for the annual Fall Conference and Show/Sale are September 18 and 19, 2015.  The conference will be at Walkers Century Farm at Anderson, SC.  Bill and Nancy Walker are owners of the farm and have an event pavilion on the farm.  Lodging facilities are located at exit 27 on I-85 about 7 minutes from the farm and the livestock facilities are about 7 minutes from the farm.  Mark those dates on your calendar.

Dispersal Sale

Regina and Tom Tesnow, owners of Tomina Farm located at Waynesboro, TN, have announced the complete dispersal sale of their registered herd of Red Devons at private treaty.  Every animal will be sold.  For more info contact Regina at 931-722-6621 or email tesnow1@aol.com and check their website at tominafarm.com .

Clarifying some Confusion

There is some confusion about being on the Breeders List page on the Website.  There is a yearly fee of $50 per year to be on the list and that fee is due now.  The yearly dues of $50 to keep your membership active is also now due.

Events Calendar Page on the Website

The Events Calendar page on the Red Devon USA website is functional now.  Please send information about any event you think should be listed on the calendar page to either Sarah or Roy.

DEVON USA magazine

The magazine is scheduled to go to the printers on March 3 and to be mailed on March 9.  This issue is loaded. There are profiles on two Devon farms with info on their production, management and marketing protocol.  There is an article on Devon cattle history and for the first time it will have columns from Great Britain and Australia.  And of course, there is another Cowboy 101 column.

The British are Coming

No, just joking.  Actually they are inviting us and the rest of the Devon cattle world to Great Britain in June of 2016.  They are hosting the Devon World Tour and Conference which is held every 4 years and are planning 2 weeks of farm tours, a conference and other activities showcasing English life.  And naturally the scenery will be beautiful.  Check back for more details as they become available.
