Dear Members,

This year the Board has been diligently working on the NADA and ADCA merger. It is now near completion. So please join us as RED DEVON USA presents Gourmet Beef on Grass VII September 27 and 28 in Lake Junaluska, NC. Charles and Martha Trantham’s most beautiful Lenoir’s Creek Farm in Canton, NC, will be the host for this event.

The Conference classes will be held at Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center. Hotel reservations can be made by calling 1-800-222-4930 or visit their website at (More information is available in their Reservations file. Room rates for the conference are $90 for a single, $112 for a double. Reservation deadline is August 25th. When you make your reservation tell them you are with the Devon Conference and will be staying at the Lambuth Inn.

There will also be a pre-conference training day on Thursday, September 26 held in the Conference Center at the Lambuth Inn. The registration form and schedule of events are enclosed. The schedule is on the back of this letter.

The new Red Devon USA Board will have 13 Board members. Right now the combined boards have 17 members. This year Baron Buzhardt, Paul Coluci, Tom Cope, Kelly Heaton, Mike Scannell and Guille Yearwood will roll off their boards, reducing the combined Board to 11 members. So this year we will elect two new members to the Red Devon USA Board.

Nominations need to be in by September 3, 2013. After the nominees have been vetted by the election committee, ballots will be mailed to all current members. You can bring your ballot to the meeting in September or you can mail the ballot to the NADA office by September 23rd. No proxy’s will be accepted.

To vote, you must be a paid up member in good standing, so if you have let your membership lapse, please pay your dues if you want to vote.
